La Table de Lucie: up to 100 bookings a month, €55 average spend
The bistro takes bookings online, day and night, without a platform charging per cover. The team follows each booking, messages guests and keeps control of the floor plan.
The challenge
A neighbourhood bistro, a small team, and a phone ringing during service. Booking platforms bring guests, but take a commission on every cover and keep the customer database.
The solution
Bookings are made directly on the restaurant’s website, at any hour. Each request lands in the team’s app, with automatic or manual confirmation depending on the service. The online menu is translated for passing trade, and each booking has its own message thread with the guest.
What was put in place
- Direct booking from the restaurant’s website, with no per-cover fees
- Each booking followed, and guests messaged, from the app
- Online menu translated and up to date for passing trade
The results
Between 80 and 100 bookings a month, with an average spend of €55. Bookings come in even when the restaurant is closed, with no per-cover fees, and the customer database finally belongs to the restaurant.
