Sain bakery: €30,000 excl. VAT sold online every month, to trade and consumers alike
Consumers order bread and cakes to collect in store. Restaurants, hotels and delis place their trade orders on the same website, at their own prices. One catalogue to maintain, two ways of selling.
The challenge
Two customer groups with opposite habits: consumers booking a cake for the weekend, and trade customers ordering every evening for the next day, with net prices, minimums and separate invoicing. Until then, two tools, two catalogues and trade orders taken by phone.
The solution
A single Menuchic website in the bakery’s colours. Consumers use it for click & collect and pay online. Trade customers log into their account and see their net prices, order minimums and morning delivery, paying on invoice. The catalogue and availability are managed in one place.
What was put in place
- Trade area: net prices, order minimums, customer accounts
- Consumer shop: click & collect and online payment
- Website in the bakery’s colours, catalogue and availability managed in one place
The results
€30,000 excl. VAT of online sales a month, i.e. €360,000 annualised. Trade orders come in the evening before, ready for the bake, and every customer, consumer or trade, is tracked in the same database.
